Every scan at Bloom is interpreted by a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) physician — the subspecialists trained specifically in high-risk pregnancy and detailed fetal imaging.

We partner with Ouma Health, a maternity telehealth practice founded and led by MFM physicians, to read the studies we perform. Our sonographer captures your images on-site; Ouma's MFM specialists interpret them remotely and return a detailed report — with clinical recommendations — to your referring provider, typically within 24 hours.

How the MFM physicians contribute

  • Subspecialty expertise. Maternal-fetal medicine physicians (perinatologists) are the OB subspecialists devoted to high-risk pregnancy and detailed fetal imaging.
  • Every study, individually read. Your images are reviewed by a board-certified MFM physician — never auto-released by software.
